Day 24 - 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge: How Can You Use A Current Fear For Good?
Yesterday I talked about my fear of joining a new dance class. This is out of fear of embarrassment and also just not being cool enough!
Today I had my jazz, funk and hip-hop class and to combat my fear of “not being cool enough”, I decided to stand in the front right near the teacher. Firstly, it’s a great spot because you can see the teacher. Secondly, you have full view of the mirror in front of you so you can see where you make mistakes. It was quite intimidating but I had to focus on why I was really there!
I decided the only way I will combat this fear is if I put myself in the deep end. What’s the worse that can happen?
I shared my progress on my Instagram Stories which are now highlighted on my page, you should definitely check it out @notedbeautyblog
I made so many mistakes today but I focused on how dancing will help with my self-confidence and that it will bring me joy. I laughed at myself and had so much fun today! I’m using this fear to help heal what I’m going through in my personal life and to help myself build my self-confidence.
I’m really grateful that I stepped out of my comfort zone and had the courage to do so!
