5 Skincare Hacks To Make Your Life Easy
Today I thought I'd share with you my favourite skincare hacks that I do myself. These hacks will help make your life easier and save you time!
#1 - Put your face mask on before you head into the shower
My best friend shared this tip with me and it seriously changed my life! All you need to do is slap on your favourite face mask just before you plan to take a shower or bath. Then you don't have to worry about making a mess on your basin when you're washing off your mask (which I'm very guilty of!). You just wash it off when you're in the shower. So. Much. Easier.
#2 - Mix your moisturiser with a little bit of foundation to make your very own tinted moisturiser
This is great for travelling and if you're not fussed about a lot of coverage on the weekends. This hack has been shared numerous times across Pinterest but in case you need a reminder of how convenient this hack is, here it is :)
All you need to do is mix 3 parts of moisturiser with 1 part of your favourite foundation and apply to your skin. It's a great way to make your own tinted moisturiser using products that suit your skin type.
#3 - Use Vaseline or Pawpaw Ointment as a natural highlighter
I love doing this when I don't want to wear any makeup but still want my skin to look glowy! All I do is take a little bit of Vaseline, Pawpaw ointment or any type of balm that has a bit of shine to it, and dab some on the tops of my cheekbones. You can also apply it anywhere else you want to glow.
#4 - Use your favourite toner to refresh your makeup
If you work in an office like I do all day, the air conditioning can really suck the moisture out of your skin! What do I do to combat this? I keep a bottle of my favourite toner on my desk to mist my skin when I feel a little tight. In my opinion, toner and makeup setting sprays work the same in helping bring moisture to the dehydrated skin, so why not use your toner for the same purpose?
#5 - Ran out of eye makeup remover? Use a creamy lotion to remove stubborn eye makeup.
I don't remember how I stumbled on this but this has been a lifesaver so many times. It really does work! All you need to do is take a really thick or creamy lotion/moisturiser (I use Nivea Soft) and apply a small amount to a cotton pad to remove. Be careful when removing makeup that you don't get any of it in your eye!
