Carbon Coco* Teeth Whitening Products Review

carbon coco review When Carbon Coco got in touch with me last month to trial their products. The first thing I thought to myself is "I've seen this everywhere, in fact they keep re-marketing their ads to me on Instagram all the time!".

I'm sure you have heard of Carbon Coco, you know the Instagram videos where people apply the activated charcoal to their teeth to whiten them and make it look like it's spilling everywhere out of their teeth! Yep you know the ones!

I'm here to give you an honest review of this product. I was really excited to try the Carbon Coco product because I definitely wanted to see if I could whiten my own teeth at home and I really love how the products are a more natural way to whiten your teeth without using chemicals (or the dentist!).

What is is Carbon Coco?

It is an activated charcoal product that helps whiten your teeth by brushing the charcoal onto your teeth and then following it with the activated charcoal toothpaste.

It's 100% safe to use. It's a natural and healthy way to whiten your teeth.

How to use Carbon Coco

First thing I'd like to explain is to how to use it properly. It's better to have an idea of how to use it because sometimes the videos you see on Instagram or Facebook are all fast forwarded so you don't really get the whole picture of what exactly to do with the charcoal.

Step 1. Wet toothbrush then dip it into the loose jar of charcoal powder.

Step 2. Brush the charcoal powder onto your teeth for 3 mins.

Step 3. Spit the powder out and rinse your mouth.

Step 4. Follow this with brushing your teeth as you normally would but with the activated charcoal toothpaste for 3 mins.

Based on the instructions, they recommend using this once a day at night.

I was sent the Ultimate Carbon Kit which retails for $59.95 AUD. I personally feel this is quite reasonable and this would be a perfect option for anyone looking for a whitening system that is natural to be an affordable choice.

The charcoal powder comes in a small jar with a screw top. When I was using the powder it was going everywhere on my bathroom basin which I found super frustrating! Be careful because I found this super messy to use every day.

The activated toothpaste is just your regular tube of toothpaste so I have no opinions here.

They also supply you with a toothbrush and I found the bristles really soft to use.

The results

Before (top) & After (bottom) // Do you see much of a difference?

I only ended up using the products for a full week. I really couldn't stand the mess.

To compromise (and I'm not sure if you can do this) I just kept using the toothpaste at night and skipped the charcoal powder step to save the mess.

I noticed that my teeth were slightly whiter even after the first week. I feel like this product can work if I just went the full two weeks using the same method every night.

I do recommend giving this a go (as an option) because I really like how it's a more natural and safe method of whitening your teeth. I've whitened my teeth at the dentist before and it's not healthy or safe for your teeth! I actually found it quite uncomfortable.
