Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick FIRST IMPRESSIONS

hourglass vanish finish highlighter stick Hourglass recently released their new Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Sticks. Similar concept to their Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Sticks in terms of packaging, but these are the cream formula based highlighters.

I saw so many beauty influencers trying these out on Instagram and just like everyone else, I'm obsessed with highlighter products! I particularly love using cream highlighters. One of my favourite cream highlighters that comes in a stick too, is the Kiko Milano Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter.

Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlight Stick: First Impressions

I found the product upon application super creamy and it didn't drag on my skin!

I purchased the shade "Gold Flash" because to me that's the most natural shade that I can use for my skin tone. I also feel that it's a great shade I can use for work and versatile for any other makeup looks I do.

"Gold Flash" has a beautiful yellow and gold undertone. It's super glowy and when applied to the skin, appears to look like a glow that is "lit from within". I love how my skin looks healthy when it sits on my skin.

Hourglass has released 5 shades:

  • Gold Flash
  • Rose Gold Flash
  • Pink Flash
  • Champagne Flash
  • Bronze Flash

It's quite exy as we would say in Australia. It retails for $61AUD!

The product contains 0.21 ounces of product, so personally, I believe this is standard.

Because it is a cream product, the expiry date of this product doesn't last as long as a powdered formula. This might be a factor for you on how much you would spend on a product that doesn't last long when you can buy a cheaper cream highlighter alternative and the longevity wouldn't be an issue.

This product has a 12-month expiry.

The packaging is the same as the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation sticks with the triangle shape like tube look.

To use the product, it is a twist mechanism to lift the product up. I like to apply straight to the skin or you can use a brush and apply the product that way as well.

Unlike the foundation sticks, it has a silver coloured - reflective packaging. I'm assuming this is to differentiate the foundation and highlighter sticks.
