Tip For Packing Light #beautyedition
I've been travelling every year since I was 18 years old, but this year I've decided to take a break. Next year I plan to embark on a really big trip and as I'm fantasising about what I'll be doing, it led me to write this blog post about how you can travel with your beauty products.
I know how daunting it can be to pack and if I can share tips on how to make packing your makeup and skincare, a whole lot better, I thought I'd give you some tips!
Use those travel size containers
I can't stress how much room this saves. But putting time aside to put your favourite skincare and beauty products into travel size containers is really a big space saver!
I get my containers from Chemist Warehouse, you can get all different types of containers for all your products. Best of all.... it's so cheap!!
I'd suggest making sure you screw those lids on tight and keep those caps on strong. I'd even go as far a glad wrapping them haha! I would hate to see your luggage being soaked with foundation all over your clothes!
Those beauty samples you've been keeping...bring 'em out!
You know all those beauty samples you've been putting in a box to keep for a rainy day? Well now is the time?
When I went makeup shopping in Tokyo because I had bought so much stuff and blown so much money at one counter, the brands were so generous they gave me tonnes of beauty samples for free. So I basically came home with more than half of my luggage with just makeup stuff!
These samples have a purpose now. You can use them whilst travelling because they're easy to use and easy to dispose of.
I have so many that I don't even know what I have!
Bring multitasking products!
I love multitasking products. They're a space saver and you don't have to worry about taking too many products with you! Perhaps I might even do a post on my favourite multitasking products for you guys to try :)
Here's a brief list of multi tasking products that I use myself below.
- Contour sticks: I use this to not only to bronze my face but also use this for eyeshadow and a natural lip colour.
- Blush/bronzer/highlight trio's: You can use the bronzer for your eyes, the highlight for the inner corners and you can even use the blush for your eyes as well if the colour suits!
- Lipsticks: perfect to use a cream contour!
- Liquid lipsticks: you can use these as a cream eyeshadow!
I also made a FREE packing guide sheet for you guys to print out so if you're interesting check it out! Happy and safe travels xx
