New Skincare Additions
I love skincare. In fact, I live and breathe it. I can't tell you enough how many times I tell my own girlfriends how important it is to have a strict skincare routine. But you know how it is, you won't know how much it actually does to your skin until it becomes a routine!
Today I thought I'd share some new skincare products that I have added to my very tiny skincare cabinet. TBH I share with my mum, it's basically 90% her stuff and 10% my stuff!
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment
I'm so glad I finally got around to buying this tub of magic!
The product is extremely thick and creamy. That's definitely something I love in a great eye cream. It contains avocado oil which is great for hydration. Your eye area is very delicate and thin so giving it moisture is super important.
There is no strong scent either with this product so it's great for people who hate scented skin care or are allergic to scented products.
*mention how much product you get
I purchased my tub of eye cream from a Kiehl's stand at Myer for $44 AUD.
For an eye cream, it's somewhere in between a drugstore eye cream to a high-end eye cream (queue in my now empty SK-II RNA Eye Cream which retails for $149 AUD).
So personally, this is a more affordable buy especially because Kiehl's is highly rated among skin care lovers.
I'm really loving this eye cream. It's so hydrating and there is no scent which is a plus for me, seeing as I have sensitive/dry skin. I'd highly recommend this eye cream if you're looking for a super hydrating cream for the eye area.
Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes
I've bought this product multiple times and I usually take these with me whenever I travel (which is only really once a year). They're convenient to carry and are fuss free.
They don't disturb my skin and I never have breakouts or allergic reactions to this brand. I've tried a lot of different cleansing wipes and these seem to be the ones I always go back too.
If you have sensitive skin, Simple may be the best brand for you in terms of cleansing wipes.
They retail for$7.49 and that to me is a great drugstore buy! You can also get them in twin value packs so you have a backup :)
Loveisderma Hydramax Serum*
*I was recently gifted this serum by Lux Skin Beauty. Lux Skin Beauty is an online beauty store that aims to bring high performing and good quality skincare from around the world accessible to us Aussies.
One of the brands being Loveisderma. It's a skincare brand from Malaysia that produces skincare that is for extremely sensitive skin and problematic skin.
I tried out the serum for a week and found that I had gotten a small irritation on my eyelid! I have sensitive skin and perhaps this serum just doesn't like my skin. But this doesn't mean it won't work for you! So always do a test first.
The serum itself feels slimy and cooling on the skin. Being a serum its consistency usually feels thin not thick like a moisturiser. It absorbs really quick into the skin. I only use about 2 drops for my entire skin. It is packaged in a dropper bottle.
The serum contains sodium hyaluronic which increases moisture retention and hydration, which is perfect for dry skin sufferers. Along with sodium hyaluronic, it also contains Vitamin B5 and Vitamin B3 to help strengthen the skin and repair it too.
Lux Skin Beauty sells the serum for $49 AUD which isn't bad for a serum especially one that is from overseas as well I personally believe.
Lush Mask Of Magnaminty
I've done a mini review of this mask before on my blog which you can definitely read. It's back in 2015 when I did a post on my Sunday pamper routine. At the end of this month I will be doing an ultimate Sunday pamper routine which is an updated post, so definitely keep an eye out for that post soon!
The mask itself is hand-made and it smells wonderful. You can really smell all the ingredients they use to make this. A list of the ingredients in the mask includes:
- peppermint oil: used to stimulate the skin
- honey: for its anti-bacterial properties
- marigold oil: is used to treat the skin
- evening primrose oil and aduki beans: used to exfoliate the skin
I like to think of this mask as my "fix-it-all" mask. When I have irritable, dry skin I always go back to this mask to soothe it. After I've left the mask on for 10 mins, my skin feels so much better for me.
You can purchase the Mask of Magnaminty at any Lush store. They retail for $16.95 for the 125g pot and $35.95 for the 315g pot.
I highly recommend that you guys give this mask a go its a favorite for everyone! My girlfriends and I always rave about how amazing it is for the skin, and all of us have different skin types too.
So there you have it!
Have you guys tried these products? What are you guys currently trying out? Let us know in the comments.
