How To: Remove Makeup

remove makeup skincare There are many different ways to remove your makeup, one thing I know for sure is removing it at the end of the day is so important. Removing it properly is even more important for the appearance and health of you're skin.

Gone are the days that I use to use makeup wipes! I find them too harsh and drying for the skin. After doing some research I discovered micellar lotion to remove makeup which is a lot better than using makeup wipes. It definitely suits a lot better for my dry/sensitive skin too.

Here are some of the products I use today to remove makeup at the end of the day:

Garnier Micellar Lotion

This is a beauty favourite across the beauty community. It's inexpensive and effective. I don't find this product great at removing eye makeup, but for everything else, its such a good step to take before using a cleansing oil/cleanser to remove makeup.

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre

This is a beaut of a product. You can use it to moisturise, prime and remove makeup! You simply apply a small amount on a cotton pad and it will remove most stubborn makeup products, especially liquid lipsticks!!

Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover

I purchased the the travel size because I wanted to see how effective it is at removing eye makeup. I wear a lot of liquid eyeliner these days and the Garnier Micellar Lotion is not enough to remove it all. What I love about this product is the oil and liquid components. When you shake the two together it helps remove the most stubborn waterproof eye makeup. This too is another great inexpensive option. I love using the Lancome Bi-Facial Eye Makeup remover, but that can be quite pricey too.
